The French Minister of National Education, Edouard Geffray, denounced on Tuesday what he called unthinkable violence in several high schools, following a new day of mobilization during which ten members of educational staff and several students were injured.

According to 20 Minutes, by the end of the day the ministry had recorded 338 schools still affected, including 45 blocked and 46 targeted by attempted blockades; in total, 416 high schools had been involved since the morning and 31 injuries were reported among students and staff.

According to Euronews, on the side of 20 Minutes the Interior Ministry reported 440 arrests, a figure that reflects the scale of the police deployment in response to incidents at several schools.

According to 20 Minutes, Edouard Geffray defended the right to protest while deeming it irresponsible to call for extending blockades and to use violence, a distinction he reformulated by calling for a separation between legitimate mobilization and violent acts.

The high‑school blockade movement, led by the USL union, continues with a call for a Thursday extension, while the government maintains its position on the legal framework for demonstrations.
